participated in Kashmir movement, 1953 and  Bangladesh 
liberation movement, 1970-71; Incharge, Action Committee, 
Jayaprakash Narayan Movement, North Zone, 1975-76; made active
contribution during the crises of terrorism in Punjab, Jammu and
Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh; visited the entire North West border
area of the country during Indo-Pak war in 1965 and 1971
and actively contributed towards the welfare of jawans and 
organised blood donation campaigns during these wars; Convenor, Ekta 
Yatra Samiti, 1991; participated in flag hoisting at Lal Chowk,
